Phylogeny
The position of the family within Santalales has been discussed by
Nickrent, D. L., and V. Malécot (2001), a web version of which
can be viewed HERE.
A more detailed molecular phylogeny of the species within the genus
is currently in the process of being prepared for publication
(Vidal-Russell, Amico and Nickrent).
