Hi There! I'm Dan Nickrent, avid botanist, evolutionary biologist, naturalist, photographer and student of parasitic flowering plants. No, those are not parasitic plants I'm holding, they are mushrooms!

 

My particular research specialty is molecular systematics which means I use DNA to determine how plants are related to each other and how their genetic systems function.
